Quality Control Inspector – LEICESTER
Our client is a manufacturing design company who are based in Leicester who design bespoke products from Sheet Metal. They deal with all aspects of projects from initial design, to prototype development and manufacture from sheet metal. They are now looking for a Quality Inspector to join their team.
Are you currently working as a sheet metal worker looking for your next challenge from the shop floor or similar experience?
Able to read engineering drawings and have experience of working in the sheet metal industry for this role as Quality Control Inspector, manage production and managing outcomes?
To ensure the quality throughout the manufacturing process, control, introduce and maintain standards in relation to ISO guidelines
Duties and Responsibilities
Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
Approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor
Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
ESSENTIAL: Must be able to read engineering drawings
Experience of the Microsoft Office suite would be advantageous
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
Accomplishes quality and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.
Manage processes to recognise errors, report on why errors have occurred, put procedures in place to prevent re-occurrence.
Experience of working to, implementing and training staff to ISO 2015:9001 standards an advantage
Must be able to inspect sheet metal products
Must have a good understanding of the fabrication process
Must be comfortable speaking and relaying information to customers and suppliers
The role will be 50% shop floor based and 50% desk based
